How to reset an iPhone
Is your iPhone slow, and do you want to boost the speed of your iPhone just like how it was when you purchased it? Resetting your iPhone can significantly boost its performance, and you are going to get improved battery performance, just like how it was when you first used it.
There are two types of resets on iPhone:
- Reset All Settings
- Reset Network Settings
Now lets understand both the reset types and see how we can use them to reset our iPhone.
Reset All Settings
This reset method is used to wipe all settings on iphone including network settings. It also wipes out privacy settings, location settings, keyboard dictionary and Apple Pay cards. Using this reset method iPhone gets restored to its default state, but data and media are not deleted.
Reset Network Settings
This reset method removes all network settings from the iPhone and restores it in default network state.
Depending on the usecase, you can decide which reset method best suits your need for reseting iPhone.
Steps to reset an iPhone
- Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap General, tap Transfer or Reset iPhone, then tap Reset.
- Choose Reset All Settings or Reset Network Settings
